VIII InterEcoForum highlights

This March 21st and 22nd marked the eighth consecutive InterEcoForm on Sustainable Development, held in Marbella, Spain — this year´s event addressed the theme Water for Sustainable Development & was celebrated in the prestigious Global School of Hospitality `Les Roches´ — captivating a large number of international participants, press & high-profile speakers.

IEF´s conference carried out a dynamic mix of representatives, from the Russian Energy Ministry, the UN association, Trucost part of the renowned S&P Global and the celebrated Environmental & Human rights activist Mr. Sunny Ofehe were all amongst the speakers at this year´s event. IEF not only attracted a vast number of international speakers & representatives, local and national companies were also amongst its participants – Ly Company, Zersty, Quantum Energía Verde & participants such as the local environmental councilor Mr. Manuel Cerdeñas showed his full support.

The key objective of the event was to work together towards an innovative future for the water sector, this VIIII edition was heightened by the support of the UN Water Department – our round table discussion that took place on the Friday 22nd opened as a point of discussion where participants were able to contribute and voice their opinion together with our table of experts –´Fresh Water Crisis´ being the topic of debate. A prize giving ceremony & cocktail celebration marked the end of the VIII IEF event, with networking as an opportunity.

The success of this year’s event – its theme & location will remain the same & planning for the following InterEcoForum is already underway – with a marathon in prospect for the foundation of Water for Sustainable Development.
