Currently, Elena González is the Director of ANESE, the National Association of Energy Services Companies, and is an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She is an expert in the energy sector and in the management of large projects, accumulating more than 20 years of experience in the areas of renewable energy efficiency, energy management, strategic planning, ICT (SmartGrids and SmartSolution) and transportation with alternative fuels.
Previously she created and was the general director of EnergyLab, Technological Center of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability.
She has worked at Gas Natural Fenosa as Director of the Transportation Business Unit with alternative fuels. She has directed the Customer Service area of the Unión Fenosa Group, has been the Director of Strategic Planning and Development of the Commercial Systems and Environmental Systems of the Unión Fenosa Group and has worked on various projects within the European Union as director, consultant and evaluator of Framework Programs.
Elena is co-author of the books: Technology, Economics and Regulation in the Energy Sector and Radioactive Waste Management.
Degree in Physical Sciences, specializing in Applied Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid. PDG by the IESE Business School, Specialist in Energy and Environment by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Diploma in International Trade by the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, Diploma in Marketing Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Master in Business Information Systems in Wang Europe, Brussels.
